It will be interesting to see how any YEC proponent could draw a line and say those people are delusional, but their view of a young earth is rational.

not really, I think. When you're delusional, logic doesn't really matter. Nor do hilarious contradictions. So they'll be able to safely denounce the flat-earth delusion and still accept their young-earth delusion, w/o being bothered by the contradiciton and/or failure of logic.
