Welcome to EvC
Welcome to EvC Karthikeyan,
Thank you for proposing a new topic and adding to our diversity. Since you are new to EvC, I suggest that you carefully read the Forum Guidelines and familiarize yourself with the functions of EvC by using the Practice Makes Perfect Forum or posting in existing threads.
You have two questions here. "Why do we swing our arms while walking/running?" and "Can we relate the swinging of our arms to evolution?"
Do you want to debate whether swinging our arms while walking/running is voluntary or involuntary or whether the action is related to evolution or not?
An opening post should consist of the topic question or statement being considered and the poster's own position concerning the subject with support for that position.
I suggest that you rewrite your opening post to clarify what you want to debate. Let me know when you want me to review your post again by replying to this post using the little green reply button at the bottom right of this message.
In the purple signature box below, you'll find some links that will help make your journey here pleasant.
As members, we are guests on this board and as guests we are asked to put forth our best behavior. Please read the Forum Guidelines carefully and understand the wishes of our host. Abide by the Forum Guidelines and you will be a welcome addition.
Again welcome and fruitful debating. Purple

Usually, in a well-conducted debate, speakers are either emotionally uncommitted or can preserve sufficient detachment to maintain a coolly academic approach.-- Encyclopedia Brittanica, on debate

    Re: Welcome to EvC
So your position is that it is related to Evolution, correct?
What point are you wanting to make with this discussion?

    Re: Welcome to EvC
I understand that, but could you elaborate and put more substance in your opening post? At least a good paragraph or two.
Give them an idea of what prompted your interest and/or what research you've already done.
