Janitorialism-what to do

This topic is about janitors?I thought that you were actually trying to make a point about prostitutes, since you cut n pasted the OP from the Prostituion-what to do thread and replaced key words about prostitution with those about janitors.Wasn't that what you were trying to do?

Prostitution?I'm amazed, really. Aren't you the one who started an entire thread declaring me incompetent in the area of reading comprehension? And now, have you interpreted my thread on janitors to be about sweatshop workers and prostitutes?Reread the opening post, and point out any parts that you think hint at prostitution or sweatshop work. As for: This is true, but I didn't merely switch out 'prostitute' for 'janitor.' I used the format of the prostitution thread's OP because its format was suiting to my needs.Jon

Well, wait a minute, of course your thread is about prostitution. You're pointing out that the same arguments that prostitution is demeaning and/or exploitive apply equally well to the more socially acceptable profession of janitorialism, thereby calling into question the initial premise.I'd write moreif I had time, but the realities of my situation (mortgage, kids in college, saving for retirement) require that I place myself at the mercy of an exploitive employer who pays me only what the market says my services are worth and places me in a demeaning cookie-cutter office environment staring at a glowing screen for hour after hour for days on end. They should pass a law making this illegal! Of course, I'd probably make much less money if jobs like this were made illegal, but hey, there's a principle here!--Percy

Jon, I really thought you were merely "playing dumb" in your responses to me in this thread in order to avoid addressing my point.I had you all wrong.You weren't "playing", it seems.

Your whole sense of values dissappear when throwing up."I don't care about my shoooooooooooooeessssssagagagagagag"( a shiny nickel to whoever knows where that came from)It seems to me, that if you have denyed that you are going to throw up, and did not make it to the bathroom for any reason, then everything is fair game. It also depends on ones self-control, and just how bad your body wants to get rid of whatever you ate/drank.
