My father-in-law was non-religious and, in his younger days, quite the party animal. He liked to say, "I know where I'm going when I die!" - meaning that he was going straight to hell.
The preacher at his funeral, who had never met him, had been told the quote above by some relative but without context. It might have even been spun to mean "to heaven." Doing a good preacherly job, the good rev. made this a pretty big, inspiring piece of his sermon.
My poor wife came close to getting the giggles at her own daddy's funeral. She knew him well, after all.
