Do creationists try to find and study fossils?

There was - no longer, though, I think - a Creation Museum in Crosbyton, Texas that had a selection of fossils. The had dinosaur, mammoth - the usual suspects - and a human femur that was about 120 cm long. Perfectly proportioned just like your femur or mine, but from back when there were "giants in the earth."At least one grade school class from here went there on a field trip burning taxpayer-purchased gasoline in a taxpayer-purchased school-bus.

How is that? Where would more area come from, other than the tiny wrinkles from mountains and valleys, both on land and under water?

Yeah - "cuz I said so" would not fly, even here in the oil industry, where we are sloppy as hell with references/peer review.

Including, of course, the Coconino sandstone, which is full of crossbeds that incontrovertibly show that they could not have been deposited under water. You can't get dunes that steep under water, Faith. You can try the experiment yourself in your kitchen.

Faith, I challenge you: get a cup of sand. Pile it up under the surface of a pan of water to get a cone with its sides at an angle of greater than fifteen degrees from horizontal. Then get a spider to climb it, while under water, and leave footprints.I will send you a cup of sand, a Pyrex loaf pan, and a gallon of water if you wish. And a protractor - but you are on your own for the spider.

And the next wave not disturbing the footprints? You are my age or so - remember "Love Letters in the Sand?"
