This post is hilarious on about five levels. It brings to mind Shelley's poem on Ozymandias. Well, except for the part were Shelley actually managed to convey something that reflected well on his own intellect.

Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Thoreau: Civil Disobedience (1846)
I would say here something that was heard from an ecclesiastic of the most eminent degree; ‘That the intention of the Holy Ghost is to teach us how one goes to heaven, not how the heaven goes.’ Galileo Galilei 1615.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground, they want rain without thunder and lightning. Frederick Douglass

Re: Context
Observational evidence ? That all the Observable Universe was in the same place? What nonsense!
If we're going in, and I've shown quite clearly that we are, who can say where we were 14 billion years ago? The Universe is trillions of years old. The expansion started slowly, as in the 'Big Wheeze' - why are you completely unable to see any of this?

Re: Uhh ... Well ...
Okay, Panda. Let me be perfectly clear.
What I'm really saying is, 'There are 2 kinds of expansion -(1) Outward and (2) Inward.
There are other kinds? And what direction are they?
Panda, Outward expansions all slow down and stop. The only kind of expansion that accelerates is Inward (they all do.) Too bad you can't see this.

No, Catholic Scientist, you're wrong. Air moving towards the nozzle of a Central-Vac will lose pressure and that's the same as expansion. When things expand, they move away from each other.

Your extrapolation from small scale phenomena on Earth to the entire universe is not justified.
Rather than repeating your claim, you should concentrate on why others don't find it convincing.
Personally, I don't find it convincing because you are basing your entire "theory" on a massive extrapolation with no observations of the universe to establish a basis for that extrapolation.

See, this is one reason why nobody can take you seriously. You are wrong and apparently incapable of thinking about your own model.
The air molecules that move towards the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner start out widely separated and move towards the nozzle from different directions. No matter what the pressure or acceleration, those molecules have a component of motion towards each other. If that were happening in the Universe, we would see very distant galaxies moving towards us, i.e. blue shifted.
You also should learn some fluid mechanics, especially the difference between static and dynamic pressure.

Catholic Scientist, Air moving towards the nozzle loses pressure. That's the same as expansion. In Space, in expanding situations, things move away from each other.
I see your problem - with all the air in the room converging on the nozzle, why isn't there a high pressure there at the nozzle?
Actually, the nozzle removes air faster than other air approaches, I guess that's why they call it a vacuuim cleaner?
And in a vortex, you're going to accelerate - that'll cause you to lose pressure and expand. Looking around you, you'd see everything leaving you.
At the center of the vortex is a low-pressure (highly expanded) force, or some other attractive force (Gravity)..?

Re: Context
Oh yes, Taq, and I've also heard of the 'Big-Wheeze' where people realise that if the expansion of the Observable Universe is accelerating, it must have (at some time in the past) have been going slower. How slow could it have started? Perhaps 1 mile per hour. That's what I think.

Taq, Nopbody can see the Universe. There is no evidence for an expanding Universe.
Yes, the Observable Universe (OU) is expanding, But you see, Taq, the expansion of the OU is accelerating, and if we're going in - what makes you say we're expanding?
What you can see is nothing more than the Observable Universe (OU). I'm well aware the Observable Universe is expanding, and that the expansion is accelerating. I'm well aware also that the furthest objects are leaving us fastest. I realise this would be red shifted.
Hope that answers question 1.
2. The CMB is heat left over from the time in the evolution of the Universe from a hot. slow moving, compressed state to the cold, high speed highly expanded state we see tonite.
3. Super Novae? Time dilation? More observation of the OU. Great!
Well, I answered your questions. Now you tell me what you think of my answers.

Taq, that's not how expansion works. In Space, expansion means everything is moving away from you, I don't see how you're going to get a blue shift. There must be something in your thinking that I'm not getting. Do try to be clear.

Oh, now I see your problem. We live in an Observable Universe and nobody can see beyond that. Many people pretend they can see past the Observable Universe, but they can't. Am I right or wrong?

So - you weren't saying what you were really saying.
Before I go down this new rabbit hole - are you retracting your claim that:
Paul Lamont writes:
There are two kinds of expansion, the first kind (1) Accelerates and then slows down, and the second kind (2) which starts slowly and then accelerates.
You are now abandoning your original claim and are now saying:
Paul Lamont writes:
There are 2 kinds of expansion -(1) Outward and (2) Inward
Correct?
Please confirm that you no longer believe that "There are two kinds of expansion, the first kind (1) Accelerates and then slows down, and the second kind (2) which starts slowly and then accelerates."
Peter Lamont writes:
Let me be perfectly clear.
Well, it would help if you didn't keep changing your claims.

Re: Context
That's your opinion, Percy. I've tried. You can't see the light that's not my problem. I've tried to show you everything, but you've been juiced in some backward theory. Backward? Certainly. You have an accelerating expansion that goes Outward. Outward expansions all slow down and stop. The only kind of expansion that accelerates is Inward. But now you have a Universe operated by Anti-Gravity. My Universe just has Gravity. Gravity is all there is, Percy.
It's Gravity that keeps the moon orbiting Earth. Where does Gravity run out? It doesn't, accordintg to Newton - it's Universal. Are you smarter than Newton, Percy?
