My Grampa was a huge movie buff ever since they starting coming out when he was a kid. He collected and cataloged thousands of movies throughout his life. He taught me to judge blockbuster movies by the actors that are in them. The rule being that top notch actors don't typically take on a role in a bad movie.
So, Russell Crowe and Anthony Hopkins; count me in.

Re: Noah's Worldwide Flood, Bible says No!
Genesis 8:11 says the dove returned with " a freshly plucked olive leaf". but Genesis 7:21 indicates the olive tree was submerged in water and Genesis 7:24 that it was submerged for five or more months. Now go an ask an arborist what condition the olive tree would be in at the end of five or more months underwater.
God could have just magically created the branch, there's no reason to limit it to a natural process.
Local flood perhaps, worldwide flood no way.
The story as a whole just doesn't make sense unless its a worldwide flood.
God was pissed at the world because of its wicked ways so he drowned everybody and everything to restart it all. You can't restart everything by killing off just a small portion of the world.
Ever try to build the largest wooden ship ever with eight people? The epic of Gilgamesh tell us that the ark was made of reeds. Gopher wood may be the Hebrew phonetic rendering of Guffa, a bowl shaped vessel made of reeds.
Well, sure. The Flood didn't actually happen. Its a myth.
And we know for a fact, without a reasonable doubt, that the world has not been covered in water since humans have been around.

Re: Noah's Worldwide Flood, Bible says No!
Study your ancient history around the time of the supposed world wide flood and tell me how people of Stonehenge, Egypt, Indus Valley and China managed to escape drowning. Maybe someone forgot to tell them they were underwater?
As I said, The Flood never happened. Its a myth.
Do the experiment and stop reading the Bible as though it were a comic book.
Read what I write and stop making assumptions about me.

My spouse and I rented it the other day.
Any good? Was it worth renting it? Worth the time?
Has it occurred to anyone that this is a very anti bible, anti religion movie?
It seemed to me to not be a pro-Bible or pro-Religion movie.
Aronofsky's stuff comes off as a little weird to me, but he is Jewish so I get the Bible thing.
But I didn't think it was going to be anti Bible or religion. What about it makes you feel that way?
