(1) God's justice is no justice. We as society decided long ago that it is immoral to have a system where the families of criminals would pay for their crimes. The movie even went as far as showing us the face of an innocent (the girl that got bear trapped) that were to be wiped out by god.
(2) Revelation versus investigation. Nowadays, we investigate rather than wait for revelation. Religion is nothing without revelation. And yet, revelation often times lead to misinterpretations. Case in point: god never spoke to Noah directly. Noah is shown hints of god's will. And Noah went ahead and misinterpreted that god wanted to destroy ALL of mankind. He came this close to committing an act of murder because of this so-called revelation.
I am reminded of god's order to the Israelites to kill every man, woman, and child in the city of Jericho. I've pointed this out many times on this forum, and there have been those that have tried to justify that every single person in Jericho was a sinner. Even 2 year olds? What about unborn babes? Others have tried to justify this by invoking inherited sins, which goes back to my #1 point. If I commit an act of murder, should my wife and children be imprisoned or executed alongside with me?
These are just 2 prime examples that anyone can understand. There are several others that aren't so obvious.
