I'm not sure when I'll come back. I need a break from everything--I've got some major problems that I have got to get fixed.
As to the chess tourney, I will still play in it. My participation at EvC, though, is voluntarily suspended.

Good luck Chris.
Sorry to hear this, Chis. I hope you'll be able to sort things out. If you need advice, I'm sure the crowd here will be more than willing to help. Good luck and I hope to see you back in not too long.

Goodbye
I'm leaving too in a few days. Only for a month... or two.... maybe three... four tops!
However, my hiatus is a good thing. Sounds like you've hit a storm in your life, Chris. Feel free to write us and vent if need be.

And who will hail me with "Hej, Omni"?
Hope everything works out okay. Let me know if I can help.

Bored
I'm going to take a long break of a year or so from EvC.
As well as having too much work to do, and thus it is unfair to anyone I am in discussion with, I have become extremely bored at EvC.
What was once a superb site has become a mess. Over moderation and special treatment for the creationists who can barely understand Sesame Street, have ruined this board.
See you all in a year or so.
My apologies to the members I am engaged in discussion with.
Brian.

Re: Bored
Brian, I am sorry to see you go. Perhaps you will reconsider in a month or two.
Kuresu, this is the first time I saw this thread. I had heard rumors that you were leaving, but I thought Jon and Dani were pranking me.
I am also sorry to see you go, but I know that you will sort things out....you are a strong individual from what I have seen on the boards. Best wishes to both of you.
As for Nem: I feel safer knowing that you are in our Coast Guard. Best of wishes and prayers to all of you!

Chris...
I see you are still around, despite announcing your departure just a short while ago, rather dramatically I might add. So does this mean that everything worked out well, or are you just seeking some distraction?
Anyway, I hope everything is well with you. Glad to have you still around.

This is the first time I clicked on this thread. Normally, I only click on a thread that interests me. When I first saw the title in the All Topics, I thought to myself, "I guess nature called." After a few times this thread jumped up to the top of the list, I thought to myself, "Man, is this kid having a going problem?" Now, this title appeared yet again and it finally interested me enough to actually click it. Right before I clicked it, I thought to myself, "Gee, how many times does this guy have to go to the bathroom?"

Re: Chris...
problems not fixed (for the most part). came back to talk with a single person for help. from there, the urge to respond and to actually manage the chess tourney, well . . .. Let's just say that the weekish leave was good, and I'm slowly coming back.

some people have to chess hold it and some have to go ... whether they are board or not.
Edited by RAZD, : no good reason
