The website http://truthmapping.com promotes Truthmapping, described as a "A Tool to Elevate Debate". In a little more detail, this is from the homepage:
TruthMapping is a tool that addresses the most common problems in argumentation:
- It prevents digression by making the argument the context which can not be escaped; the information flow is always toward the argument unlike standard methods such as conversation, message boards and e-mail.
- It saves you time because others can not bury your contribution through repetitive posting.
- It is a content-rich view of a topic because only the true disagreements are visible by default.
Anything we can learn or take advantage of from this site?

Hi Percy, you started a thread on this already, TruthMapping.com. Perhaps you could bump that with your opinions?

Seems overtly fussy to me.

Yes, I recalled posting that, but the http://truthmapping.com website looked completely unfamiliar, so I assumed it was another tool for the same thing. I wonder if he redesigned the home page.
I agree with the comments about it being overly "fussy", or to put a finer point on it, anal, but it seems like there are times when something like this is exactly what a discussion needs.

This has happened to me a few times recently (copy paste going awry). I've had it paste the entire post I'm replying to again creating an enormous mess. I can't see it being forum software, perhaps it is browser related? Or maybe you just double hit ctrl-v and didn't notice.
I'll check out the new design, it might be useful - perhaps dboard 3.0 can integrate a similar system?
Edited by Modulous, : arwy, what the heck is arwy?

This is the browser's fault. You're copy-n-pasting from the display of the message you're replying to. You'll notice the Normal/Peek-Mode radio buttons that allow you to switch back and forth instantly between display modes for that message. The fast switch is made possible because the text for each is in adjacent
sections, and the buttons just toggle the visibility. If you copy normal text to the end, or if you copy peek text from the beginning, be very careful where you position the cursor, otherwise you pick up the entire adjacent paragraph from the other
section.
I know IE is bad about this, I don't know about FF.

I've had exactly the same issues, and I don't get them elsewhere (actually, sometimes in ebay's messaging system)
