I have a genuine concern regarding the history and development of the evolutionary theory in the modern western scientific community. Basically, what I would like is to see a detailed timeline of the major events in the history of modern evolutionary theory. Milestones should not only include discoveries and breakthroughs, but psychologically, how the thought-process developed and grew.
Thanks.

What grade are you in and when is your report due?
Seriously, this is a debate site, so the idea is to propose a topic you'd like to debate or discuss. If you really just have questions then that's fine, too, but since you expressed a "genuine concern" I get the sense that you have a position regarding evolution, and so I, too, have a "genuine concern", that your questions would quickly evolve into a debate, at which point I would have to shut the thread down due to misrepresentation during the topic approval process.
So with that in mind, are you really just asking for information? Or is there something related to evolution that you'd like to debate?

Are you kidding me? Perhaps, if you're curious about my age or occupation, you can do a little digging of your own and leave the personal attacks and false assumptions about me out, please.

I've done that already.
your questions would quickly evolve into a debate
Isn't that the idea?
Are you really just asking for information? Or is there something related to evolution that you'd like to debate?
Both.

Hi ShootingStar,
If you'd like to have a debate, then please post a message which makes clear what it is you'd like to debate and your position on the issue.

Must I start my post with "This is the material that I would like to debate: somebody argue against me" before it will be made clear as to the subject matter that I would like to discuss?
It's pretty clear to me that this topic won't be put into one of the forums, so I'll just end it with saying that, despite the long history of managing these debate forums giving you a narrow view of how a debate should start, you should understand that some topics require a bit of opening dialogue (or at least a foundational perspective) before that particular subject matter can be delved into.
In any regard, thanks anyway for your consideration.
