Does God exist today?

If He ever did, does he still? If you think about it, the great flood occured because God was displeased with how his creation turned out...so if He killed off nearly an entire world of people, why are we here today? People today will shoot you dead simply because you were there. So does He exist? Or is He only a way to get your children to bahave? Please tell me your opinions.
