I don't personally know what Scott Peterson was compelled to do.
But since there are constitution protections against forced self-incrimination, can the defendent in any criminal case be compelled to testify at all? Even if he makes a vidio statement, he still isn't obligated to testify in person? Is he even obligated to be in the courtroom?
