Actually I understand that Arabs count for only a third of Muslims, with east asians comprising the bulk.
Simon Hoggart, the Guardians parliamentary sketch writer, mentioned this joke the other day:
Two men from the same small egyptian village came to America together, and arrived in Texas. They agreed to bet to see which of them could become the most American, to be decieded when they met again in a year. At the reunion, the first expounded: "Well, I got up this mornin', mowed the lawn, took my kids to little leage game in the afternoon, then invited the neighbours over for a barbeque.
