New and improved general purpose anti-fubar Puter help needed topic

I wonder if it would be a good idea to have a dedicated thread for puter problems. This just occurred to me because of Mike's problems (see Help). Mick, are you sure about the Ctrl-Alt-Del bringing up Task Manager in Win 98SE? It didn't do it with mine, I just got a soft reboot. Have it now with XP though.To be honest, I had an awful time with 98SE, entire puter lasted two years, then I gave up in disgust and bought a new one with XP on (also I needed extra speed for my Tomb Raider 5 game, but couldn't change the processor on the motherboard). Never looked back. Wouldn't go near 98SE with a soldering iron!
