Question is: are any of you folks willing to admit that you might be wrong?
Certainly. In fact it's very likely that we are wrong. That is inherent characteristic of the scientific method. As we learn more, as new evidence is found, all current theories are examined. When evidence is found that cannot be explained by the current theories, the theory is revised. That happens all the time.
The TOE as used today is quite different from what was outlined in Darwins initial book. We have learned more and so know more.
Us YEC's are the only one's who could possibly be ignorant.
Two issues. One is that the concept of Young Earth has been falsified. It's very likely, almost a certainty, that what we know about the age of the universe and the process of its development will change as we learn more.
BUT, we will never go back to the Young Earth scenario. That much is certain.
Also, being ignorant is not always bad. There is so much that I am ignorant of that I will certainly fill the rest of my life just learning and never get to the point where I know all.
What is unforgivable, IMHO, is wilfull ignorance. That is where someone refuses to examine things that challenge personal beliefs.
