Small Steps---how small can they be?

It's worth mentioning that small amounts of evolutionary change do not require mutations. Genes and alleles are remixed and reordered during sexual reproduction, and their interactions can produce differences beyond what one might expect from a simple combining of the parental haploid genes and alleles. And I'm going to speculate that during asexual reproduction that gene order on chromosomes can change, and that this is not without impact.--Percy
