Is this what you are referring to?
Hyroglyphx was trying to emphasize the strong feelings some have about this. He also says that they are wrong about it. He, himself, is not doing the comparison in the way you are suggesting. And he is right, some people do feel as strongly as he suggests. That some of those homophobes should be locked up because of the danger they represent can be concluded from just how right Hyroglyphx is about the strong feelings.
I usually agree with you but in this case I think you owe and apology.
