The good news is that despite the loss of some valued members (a couple recently returned), the changes have been for the better. The moderation is more streamlined and the ban on extended discussion of moderation procedures has been an improvement too.
Thanks Granny, for saying it first. Now that a member of the
esteemed establishment has said it, I'll say that I agree. The site became so overwhelmed by a lopsided hard core of creationist counterparts that nubie creationists wanted no part of it and evolutionists wanted no part of the stagnation which resulted in the forums.
Steadily since, new fresh constituency has come in to make the site livelier, more interesting and somewhat more balanced. The bickering and meanspirited infighting has greatly diminished, effecting less tension.
In addition, Admin has implemented some nice techy improvements which make the site more user friendly.
