Author | Topic: Does ID follow the scientific method? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

First off, a religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of life. Science refers to the process of gaining knowledge through the scientific method of observing, hypothesizing, and testing. Observation, using one of the five senses, including sight, touch, hearing, smell, and taste, is one of the first and most important steps in this process. Since the theory of macroevolution is an unobservable phenomenon concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of life it should be considered a religious belief and not a scientific theory. Evolutionists are the ones who tend to ignore the scientific method.

Well you did everything in your brutal, idiotic, reply, but logically defend your religion. Its funny how upset people get when they feel backed into a corner.
You have no observable evidence to support your claim or you would have presented it. The problem is that you place your religion before science when instead it should be the other way around. You're so brainwashed that you no longer question your beliefs. The biggest obstacle to finding the truth is believing you've already found it. I graduated from a pro evolution university and have been through the whole brainwashing process. Have you even for a second put yourself in my shoes. Once again without the silliness and attitude please.

Sorry, I'm new here and thought your post was a reply to mine since its directly under mine. I've redirected my last response to a brainwashed evolutionist named Dr. Adaquate. Hope this clears up any confusion.

And evolutionists pretend that they can prove that this order was produced by a spinning dot the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Do you see how what I just wrote is no different than what you wrote. By the way what created your spinning dot. Or better yet time, space and matter. Exactly. You say time, space and matter has always existed we say god has always existed, whats the difference? Both are religious to an extent.

So then are you claiming that evolutionists believe time, space and matter has not always existed? honest question, please give and honest answer.

Physicist Michael Poole said about this, "Big Bang is scientific shorthand for a 'singularity' in which the ordinary aws of physics are unlikely to have held. Time and space came into being with the Big Bang. This is what scientists talk of as 'origins'."
If time space and matter have not always existed than one would be led to believe that something created them. Sounds kind of religious don't you think. Since the evolution theory is a religious one and you believe it can be supported through the scientific method you must believe religion can be supported through the scientific method. Is Intelligent design not a form of religion.

No, its you who forgot to mention your point. I have yet to see anything relevant come from you. The topic of this thread is intelligent design and whether or not it follows the scientific method. If you would like to provide evidence as to why it does or does not i would be happy to respond. Just getting upset and overly aggressive will not pull you out of the hole you’ve dug yourself into. As for me, I believe that the theory of evolution is a religious one.

Religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of universe (Wikipedia). There are plenty of non theistic religions, including buddhism. A belief does not have to include god for it to be considered religious. so yes evolution is a religion. So if intelligent design can't be supported by the scientific method because its a religion than neither can evolution.
