Under the Church's doctrine one can turn to God at any time. So it not necessarily true that he was destined for Hell.
Whatever God wants can happen. We as catholics believe in appearances by the Blessed Mother for example Fatima. We don't judge God by natural standards.
I am not saying Jobs saw heaven, I am just saying that these words gave me comfort, based upon my faith.
It to me just seemed as his sister described it that he was at peace. I hope that is true and he died at peace.
