Folks can have whatever weird beliefs they want. They can rub blue mud in their navels every Thursday at sunset, and I don't care.
But the minute they try to force those weird beliefs on others, that's a different situation.
And that includes children. Fundamentalists who practice faith healing rightfully should be charged with child abuse, and if a child dies because of their practices, then they should be charged with manslaughter or homicide, whichever fits the case.
To misquote one of our great pessimistic philosophers, "Religion is not necessarily something to be ashamed of, but do it in private and wash your hands afterwards."
Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

How can I possibly put a new idea into your heads, if I do not first remove your delusions?--Robert A. Heinlein
It's not what we don't know that hurts, it's what we know that ain't so--Will Rogers
