I had the same problem yesterday. When I got the Service Temporarily Unavailale message, I'd refresh the page (because I'm stubborn) and it would refresh. But every time I tried to do something - post a message, go to a different page, etc. - I'd get the same message and I'd have to refresh again.
I had the same problem today but it seems to be okay now.
It looks more like a server problem to me. For some reason it doesn't have the resources to service requests. Why, I couldn't say. It could be something else running on the server, it could be a programming error, it could even be a low-grade DoS attack.

. Yep, still getting it on virtually every page change, sometimes several times before a page loads, and very annoying for making replies when you lose the reply and then it tells you it is already posted when most of the time it hasn't
I had exactly the same problem. It happened for a few hours early in the morning; I normally log on at around 5:30 am during the week to around 8:30, when I log off at the time I officially have to start earning a living.
We're 6 hours ahead of US East Coast time at the moment.
I've had this happen twice on this site in the past couple of days: The computer (Windows 7) jams up completely - no keyboard input, no mouse input, nothing. I tried Ctrl+Alt+Delete and got a Change User screen; I clicked Cancel and everything was normal again.
