only 4-5000 workers were involved at the construction site, maybe as many more at the quaries. The Herodotus figures are about as reliable as those for the Exodus. Time probably expanded them by at least an order of magnitude just as in the story of the Exodus. Time does have a tendency to do that.

Here. They covered just about every possible issue, and as in other studies, there was nothing that was beyond the capabilities of the Egyptians. That ties in well with the bakeries and kitchens found adjacent, the grafitti found on interior stones and difference in the construction of the interior and the exterior portions.
