This is a fairly simple question for me. Free will does exist, but not in the form that most people think.
To my knowledge, people perceive (i after e except before c) free will as the ability to choose to act in a certain way. I say that free will is actually the ability to choose
not to act in a certain way.
I'm not sure, but I think Kant was the first philosopher to explain this in detail.
