Giant s leg bones
Please note the caption of the photograph.
quote:
Joe Taylor Director of the Mt. Blanco Fossil Museum, Texas was commissioned to sculpt this anatomically correct, and to scale human femur
My emphasis.
This is a recreation of a hearsay report and of no scientific validity whatsoever.
Further, I would point out that if a giant of that size had leg bones that were scaled-up versions of normal leg bones, it would be unable to stand. The sqaure-cube law (strength increases as the sqaure of linear size, weight as the cube) would mean that the bones would be unable to support the body weight. I remember some years ago seeing a photgraph of a chinese woman nearly eight foot tall. In walking, she had to support herself on the shoulders of two friends since her legs could not carry her weight.
Finally, a cursory look at the Mt Blamco Museum web site show it to be a creationist organisation.
