I know a forum where the originator banned himself
it was rocketman (for those that remember his brief sojourn here)

Re: bump
I am not sure if I was banned on one, because it was mutual if I was. It was a forum that was supposed to discuss a wide variety of faiths, but it was really christian bashing of all other faiths as far as I could see.
As a lone deist in a pack of christian wolves it was interesting the arguments that were used -- all the logical fallacies that you see here.
I don't remember the forum, and I am sure that there are a lot like it.

tormented
I suspect that I will be shortly edited out of existance for daring to question the conduct of the mods over at:
Bot Verification
heh, I see willowtree is there ... and still misbehavin.
In his article "Ignorance is No Crime"
Search | Free Inquiry
Dawkins discusses the torment of some people:
I don't withdraw a word of my initial statement. But I do now think it may have been incomplete. There is perhaps a fifth category, which may belong under "insane" but which can be more sympathetically characterized by a word like tormented, bullied, or brainwashed. Sincere people who are not ignorant, not stupid, and not wicked can be cruelly torn, almost in two, between the massive evidence of science on the one hand, and their understanding of what their holy book tells them on the other. I think this is one of the truly bad things religion can do to a human mind. There is wickedness here, but it is the wickedness of the institution and what it does to a believing victim, not wickedness on the part of the victim himself. The clearest example I know is poignant, even sad, and I shall do it justice in a later article.
People like willowtree and {john jaeger\spiderMBA} (if anyone here knows him) have this anger to their posts that I can only attribute to this torment.

psychosis induced ?
I have had this concern on some other posters on another site, where they seem to unravel verbally.
I think they are headed for trouble, but I don't think modifying our behavior would help significantly as they appear to be looking for this kind of confrontation and will find it elsewhere, perhaps in person and perhaps with violence.
The lightbulb has to want to change.
