Hi Panda,
I'm unable to replicate the problem in Chrome - can you tell me which browser you're using?

Happens to me with Iron and FF5.

I'm unable to replicate the problem on either IE8 on XP or FF5. Do either of you have VNC?

I can't let you link in to my work PC, so we will have to sort it when I get home. Do either of you have VNC? (I will also need to confirm it happens on my home PC.) {abe} It does happen on my home PC (FF5 + XP). But I am ok setting up TeamViewer or whatever in the evenings. I have Teamveiwer, let me know when you want to link to me, and you can feel free to use my system for this type of thing anytime, I run Puppy Linux, Lucid Puppy, and have several browsers in addition to FF5.

Okay, sound's great - can you PM me your ID and password? I haven't used TeamViewer before, but it looks straightforward.

The avatar update has always been a little messed up. I guess now that I know you sell this software it would be a good time to bring this up, I was playing with my AV today and now cant change it back to one I have used before??
When I use "browse" it never shows me the file I have opened? Most of the time when I hit "update" it changes it to the file I opened, even though it Does not show the file name I have chosen to open."No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Most of the time when I hit "update" it changes it to the file I opened, even though it Does not show the file name I have chosen to open. I have that same situation. I discovered that in the "browse" field, the file path and name is shown, but in white text on a white background - You have to hightlight the text in order to see it. Apparently this situation is far from universal with the various members. I'm using Firefox 6.0. It was doing the same with 5.0. Just checked - Does the same thing in IE 9.0.2. Adminnemooseus

You have to hightlight the text in order to see it I see that now, sort of a strange bug. A preview feature for the avatar might be nice also, one that shows the avatar in the same size as it will be seen on your post. The changes I made when switching avatars only shows up after I refresh also, that's why I thought it wasn't accepting the new one, as soon as I refreshed the new one was there. No biggie, but a bit confusing if you are not aware of these glitches. "No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Hi F&L,
The various browsers keep improving the security of file uploading, so the appearance of the button and box keep changing. I fixed them once a few years ago to make sure the text was visible, but it sounds like there's problems in at least some browsers again. But as long as the object pays attention to CSS settings I should be able to fix this, and I'll be looking at it soon. At the same time I do that I'll also make a couple related changes. Members will be able to define multiple avatars that they can select from, and you'll be able to upload avatars not just from your computer, but also from the web. I could also provide a selection of standard avatars, but I'd need someone to define those images for me.

Hi Percy,
There is something mixed up with post counts for search results. The results for a query all say they have the same number of posts, although the exact number changes from search to search. TTFN, WK

The problem with the voting information disappearing when you click on a voting icon a second time has been fixed. Please let me know if you still see a problem. Thanks for all the help, guys.
