I get your point, but it just isn't so clear that Jesus would have thought obeying the laws meant treating your neighbors and family members like pariahs. There are plenty of examples of him acting in exactly the opposite. I understand that you are well aware of that.
Jesus also lambasted the Pharisees for straining out gnats (enforcing laws for their own aggrandization) while swallowing camels (i.e. justice, mercy and faithfulness).
