Re: It's a form of child abuse
Nonsense.
Even home schooling is monitored and the parent must be qualified to teach at home and must follow an approved curriculum.
Sorry but not even schools are required to follow an approved curriculum or have qualified teachers.
Look at A Beka books for an example. Look at all the new accreditation organizations the CCoI has created.

re: YAOJR...
Well read again then.
I have not said that you cannot laugh at what they propose, I said we should not laugh at what they propose.

Re: It's a form of child abuse
You probably wanted NY State accreditation.

Re: It's a form of child abuse
Just an FYI, A Beka Academy is in Florida and also provides science curricula. You really should take a look at their material and standards. Kent Hovind, Dr. Dino, is Florida based.
There really are no controls in the US on whether or not a teacher has any qualifications or what is taught. States can impose qualifications and curricula for State accreditation but have little or no say on what is taught in home schooling or the Christian Avoidance Movement schools.

And have you actually looked at the NY State requirements?
