Huckabee has invented this thing called "the DNA schedule", which totally science-proves that embryos attain personhood at the moment of conception, and also is made-up and doesn't exist.

Comparisons with Cuba are irrelevant, because the option is not limited to 'America as it exists now' or 'Communist dictatorship'. If you don't subscribe to false dichotomies, you must love Communism.

Asked about his exclusion from the main Republican debate, Rick Perry explained "this is not a one-shot pony".
Nor it is. I can't argue with that.

About Syrian refugees:
Are they really escaping tyranny, are they escaping poverty, or are they really just coming because we’ve got cable TV? I don’t meant to be trite. I’m just saying: We don’t know. I really think he doesn't.

It's not like the Constitution specifically mentions separation of Church and State, either. But it is kinda like Jefferson and Madison did. And since James Madison wrote the First Amendment, it's nice to know what he thought it meant.
... but complaining about crches and crosses is tired stuff. Yeah, religious freedom is so ten years ago. Why don't atheists take up something that's more now? Edited by Dr Adequate, : No reason given.

I've started a separate thread to talk about this. Here I just ask you to admire the dishonesty and the stupidity.

Having voted against federal aid for the victims of Hurricane Sandy, he and a slew of other Republicans from South Carolina now want federal aid 'cos of the floods in S.C.
Asked to explain why he voted against disaster relief after Hurricane Sandy, he says that he has no idea, explaining "I'm all for helping the people in New Jersey. I don't really remember me voting that way". The website for his Presidential run describes him as "A conservative who gets things done". Perhaps they should add "... but has no idea why he does them".

He called for a boycott of Doritos because of their special edition of rainbow-colored Doritos, the proceeds of which are to be given to the It Gets Better charity, an organization devoted to dissuading gay teenagers from killing themselves.
One might have thought that even a conservative Christian might have been in favor of that. After all, if they kill themselves they can't be cured by prayer and find Jesus. But that aside, the strange thing is that when liberals suggested boycotting Chick-Fil-A, he denounced this as "economic terrorism".

How are conservatives meant to boycott them if they don't sell them any more?

"My" doctrine used to be the foundation of this nation ... 1 Peter 2 13-18:
Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right [...] Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king. Romans 13 1-6:
Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. [...] Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing.

What s your point? My point is the the "foundation of this nation" actually involved rejecting in both word and deed the theory of government contained in the Bible in favor of a better one devised by the Founding Fathers. The very existence of the United States is the fruit of sin, or rather it would be if your religion was true and your god existed.
