I really think the comparison between Donald Trump and il Duce is far closer; Trumps behavior, positions, mannerisms, facial expressions, speaking style, gestures and carriage are far closer to what was recorded of Benito Mussolini then of Adolf Hitler. In addition, Trump even recycles some of Benito's material.But il Donald has more hair.

Unfortunately actual history shows us the the US Constitution does not prevent US Presidents from genocide, ethnic cleansing, funding terrorists, domestic spying, redacting prisoners, torture, using US Military against US civilian populations, overthrowing foreign governments and heir duly elected heads of state or invasion of nations without a declaration of a state of war and based on flimsy made up excuses.

It is a frightening replay it seems; the first modern use of chemical warfare in violation of the Geneva Protocol was il Duce using it in Ethiopia just before WWII. It was said it was needed to beat the savages who were standing up to the invaders even though the savages had no modern weapons, air power or navy. Il Duce claimed it was not a lethal agent since Mustard gas was only a blistering agent and was justified anyway as simply a reprisal since it was claimed that Ethiopians had tortured or killed prisoners.

Both Hitler and Mussolini were immensely popular.

Actually it was Trump that first brought up and in fact adopted the comparison between himself and Mussolini in his famous "Build a Wall" speech. He also compared himself to another famous Fascist dictator; Generalissimo Franco.

While they may not turn in jihadists they may well turn into terrorists, rapists, murderers, conmen, fanatics, bigots, burglars, robbers ...Faith, all of the evidence shows that Muslims are no greater threat than Christians or any other demographic group just as all of the evidence shows that immigrants, illegal or legal, pose no greater threat of physical violence than citizens in general and the general population.
