Stole this link from another board:

https://www.cnn.com/...itics/george-h-w-bush-dead/index.html

I think Bush the greater deserves his own "departing" topic.

I feel respect for GHWB - Certainly better than any Republican president since him (probably the best since Eisenhower).

The conspiracy theorists always said he was a high-level mason and had globalist contacts with the illuminati...any truth to that?

Kind of a sad epitaph: "He was not the worst."

And our geese will blot out the sun.

It says a lot for the current state of the country.

His major issue was the inability to connect with domestic issues. There was a huge recession during most of his presidency, and there was a continual denial that there was. When it finally was acknowledged, it was 'But it's getting better now' (It wasn't).

On the other hand, he was brilliant when it came to foreign policy, even when i disapproved of his goals. He also knew enough not to get involved in a foot war in Iraq.

Oh, come on! Really?

The Illuminati went out with Angels & Demons.

Sheesh.

Please, Phat, tell us you don't really believe in that carpola.

The only thing I believe in is God. I read a lot of information...much of it crap. There is no evidence that there is a global conspiracy of sorts...though you would be surprised how many fundamentalist Christians believe it.
