Information Content of Humans & Salamanders

Hi all,I just had an interesting thought whilst tackling Newtonian here.Since most stock creationists (Buzz, you listening?) insist that there is no such thing as "junk" DNA, & that there is no new information when a gene is co-opted for another function. It stands to reason therefore, given that the genome of any given salamander (A. tigrinum is estimated at 32 x 10 9 bp compared to a human 3 x 10 9 bp) is much larger than a human, that were you to mutate a salamander to a human, it would involve information loss.Wriggle out of that one Hovind!Mark------------------

interesting....... isn't it guys? Humans aren't the most complicated either. it all depends. so does that mean God put more work into the salamander then his most perfect creation?
