My wife said I should do a bit of research on it even if it takes a while as apparently I was "in the way" over xmas; so I'm going to use the Googles to get to the bottom of it.
The above ontological example models the zero premise to BB theory. It does so by applying the relative uniformity assumption that the alleged zero event eventually ontologically progressed from the compressed alleged sub-microscopic chaos to bloom/expand into all of the present observable order, more than it models the Biblical record evidence for the existence of Jehovah, the maximal Biblical god designer. -Attributed to Buzsaw Message 53 The explain to them any scientific investigation that explains the existence of things qualifies as science and as an explanation-Attributed to Dawn Bertot Message 286 Does a query (thats a question Stile) that uses this physical reality, to look for an answer to its existence and properties become theoretical, considering its deductive conclusions are based against objective verifiable realities.-Attributed to Dawn Bertot Message 134 |

A minor improvement has been made to the way messages are positioned into view. The "Reply To" and "Replies" links to messages on the same page are now links (previously they were Javascript positioning code). This has several positive effects:

Works okay.
One thing that has bugged me for a while, though, is that the big white box that you put the reply into seems to have a fixed width instead of a relative width, so it doesn't scale when you make the window smaller. I know you can manually adjust the size of the box, but that's kind of a hassle especially since the size resets every time you click to preview your message. What do you think?Love your enemies!

Thank you. They used to be links. Then they changed to javascript. I'm glad to see that they are back to being links. For me, that means that I can middle click to open in a new tab, while the previous tab remembers what I had been looking at.Fundamentalism - the anti-American, anti-Christian branch of American Christianity

I just realized what buttons you are talking about. I thought you meant the Reply button for replying to a post. Now I see you changed the replies links at the bottom of each message that list everyone who has replied to a post.
That is a very handy change indeed! Love your enemies! |

There are a variety of ways to link to a specific message.
Offhand, when I click on a mid or midt type link, things seem to work fine. Other situations (alas I didn't note an example or two), the link results in going to the top of the relevant page, but not to the specified message. Anyone else having this happen? Any new link should work because they should all have "#MessageID" on the end, but old links without it won't position to the message. I'll fix this later today.

I haven't been encountering any specific message links problems. I'm wondering if some combination of my computer and a bit flaky ISP might have been causing stalls at page top. It was indicated that the download was complete.
Anyway - What got me to this topic. There is a hovermessage for the member rating number:

I'm still not happy with the rating formula. When I fix it for hopefully the last time I'll update the tooltip, too.

Had no idea the ratings went up to 10. Everyone's rating is less than 4; most people are at about 1 or so.
I've never really like the all-or-nothing rating system, though. I'd be more likely to give more rating of messages if there were something like a 5-star system. Love your enemies!

You can sort on the member ratings on the members page:
As you can see it's an all or nothing kind of thing. A very few people get high ratings, everyone else gets the dregs. As I write this Asgara has 10 while the next highest is dwise1 with 4.9. I like providing options, so a board configuration option that allows an n-star rating system would be something I'd be interested in eventually doing. I'm in a particularly difficult piece of implementation right now, but usually I can whip through these kinds of things in short order, so when I finish with the current work I'm hoping progress will increase substantially. When I begin work on changes to the rating system I'll solicit input, but I don't know when that will be.

Cool.
I just thought of something else that might be useful: the ability to use the [mbrid] tag in the [qs=""] field. Even with , I can't show the tags without it getting seriously muddled. But if implemented it would allow quick creation of the following:Jon writes: Hello World! Right now you get:" Hello World![/qs] (even with the tag).Love your enemies!

I'd rather see the number of votes too. It's better to see that I got 10 cheers than to see that I got 1 cheer per 100 posts.
I think it would be nice if it said something like:
