I just performed an experiment to test your theory.I took a tape measure and measured. Head to toe 171.2 cm;navel to toe 101.5cm
Hip to toe 102.8 cm Knee to toe 51 cm. Shoulder to figertips 75.4 c.
Elbow to figertips 45.8
This results in the following ratios. 171.2/101.5 equals 1.6
102.8/51 equals 2.0. 75.4/45.8 equals 1.6
You may draw your own conclusions from these data.

We've just had heresay and a few home-taken measurments.
Good show! Do not take our word for it.Measure yourself to find out how close to phi your own body measurements are already.
Investigating for yourself is the best way by far to determine the veracity or falseness of the claim. Let us know how it went will you?

No those measurements are the very foundation of scientific investigation.Whatever you may postulate the world to be like the only way to determine its worth is to make a measurement of it.
The only way to test the validity of a theory is to take a prediction that the theory makes concerning what a measurement of a phenomena that has not been tested yet should produce and compare it to the measurement that experiments produce.
