quote:
For this topic (probably best put The Bible: Accuracy and Inerrancy), let's suppose the events of the book of Revelation are still to come. Are the children born during the timeframe described doomed?
Any child would be born into a populace of cursed people. People who did not accept Jesus during the preceding time of grace and mercy. Do these children have any hope?
We must remember that God is love. God can fortell the future of a child--that if he/she had been born in a populace of good people, He would save them. He can forsee the direction of a soul...whether they would have chose evil or good. Remember, the children that grow up to be murderers, rubbers, and thugs, have a concience at least in one point of their life. God looks at the heart and determines whether the individual is living up to all that he knows to be right. If this individual is living up to all that he/she knows, they WILL accept truth IF it is presented to them. This is what God can forsee.
However, those that are doomed, are those who WOULDN'T have accepted truth if it was presented to them. This God can forsee too.
For example, if God can see that a Buddhist is doing all in his power to follow what he/she believes because he/she sincerely in his/her heart is doing all that he/she knows to be truth, God will save him/her, for this would have been a person who would have accepted truth had it been presented to him/her.
However, those who are not honest at heart and stubborn in their ways will reject the truth if it comes their way.
