You think appointees of our senior elected official shouldn't be making the decisions? Who do you propose? Self appointed YouTube czars?
Again, they have a vested jingoistic interest just as your socially brainwashed head does.
It just boggles the mind that even after all the times it's been explained to you that you still don't know what socialism is.
None of you "patriots" want to admit that the Emperor has no clothes.
You're in some kind of manic phase where the engines of rationality have completely shut down but the language generator keeps churning out prose anyway.
Yah, the analogy was lost on you.
Chicken Little. I saw the analogy. For you, however, the internal dissonance gets more personal.
Everyone can tell this is meant to be insulting, but no one has any idea what you mean.

Then it should be easy enough for you to explain why George Gammon is wrong.
I have no idea who George Gammon even is. If he's author of some of the ideas you've been putting forward than he seems like someone worth ignoring.
But you won't. So I will find a transcript and feed it to Chat GPT. Let's see what our cardboard box tells us.
Just as ChatGPT has revealed itself to be an idiot savant of mind numbing proportions on these very pages, you decide it should be an arbiter of rational thinking.
As currently configured ChatGPT goes to enormous lengths to avoid controversy. For example, it says that returning to the gold standard would involve challenges. Over a few paragraphs I was able to wear it down and get it to concede that returning to the gold standard would be monumentally catastrophic on a global level. In other words, in just a few paragraphs I got ChatGPT to pretty much reverse itself. And you want to trust what it says? What does it matter what it says if with a few short paragraphs anyone can get it to change its mind?

What evidence demonstrates he's right?

Chat GPT is an absolute arse. It's damn dangerous, people are probably using it thinking that it's some kind of expert - it's not, it gets so many things just plain wrong. Copilot is even worse, with the exception that it can actually give you references and its sources, but it's dumber, often quite stupid. But it's really good at comparing products - great a finding a fridge.

Copilot is nice if I write comments in my code about what specifically I want to do, including variable names and so on. Then I just start writing a function or whatever, and its suggestions are sometimes pretty good. The better me prework, the better it works, and it can see other libraries to include in the same working directory, so it knows code that isnt present in the currently active file.
It's not always right and the less context I give it the worse it gets, but I've found it handy.
But most LLMs are not amazing with logical reasoning, they hallucinate, they lose track of context after a few messages, etc. Absolutely not experts.

"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." - John Rogers

“A world that can be explained even with bad reasons is a familiar world. But, on the other hand, in a universe suddenly divested of illusions and lights, man feels an alien, a stranger. His exile is without remedy since he is deprived of the memory of a lost home or the hope of a promised land. This divorce between man and his life, the actor and his setting, is properly the feeling of absurdity.” – Albert Camus

I wanted you to "look" at some of the transcripts from my source videos.
Percy thinks that I am a rube, but I have an intuition that says I am on to something.
The Truth Behind Economic Sanctions and the Rise of Gold (On that one, all that I have are the closed captions. Can you read them,ChatGPT?)

Their performance seems to be on mark thus far. They warned there could be inflation, and there was. They adjusted interest rates, one of the few levers they have to control the economy, and inflation went down as they predicted.

Apparently you forgot that the US already jumped on that bandwagon a long time ago. The US has the largest gold reserves of any country, by a long shot.
I am also guessing that you are using digital assets right now. Ever used a debit card? Online banking?

Re: The Philosophy Behind The Topic
Phat, thank you for sharing the link to the video about the truth behind economic sanctions and the rise of gold. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to directly access or view external content like videos. If you could provide a summary or key points from the closed captions, I'd be more than happy to discuss and provide insights based on that information. Feel free to share any relevant details or observations you have from the closed captions, and we can delve into the topic further.

but I have an intuition that says I am on to something.
The first reason that you've been so shit at life so far is that your "intuition" is shit. The second reason, is that you can't reason enough to work that out, even though people here have tried explaining it to you and your own life experience should tell you that that is the case.

Does this have any more basis than your previous claim that the second in charge at the Fed was a Modern Monetary Theorist? Or is it just more silly scaremongering.
