I was watching this on C-span2 (the debates). The republicans came up with some REAL stupid reasons.

"Allowing gay marriage will erode the traditional family" and "People won't want to get married anymore" etc... They also where showing charts of current marriage and divorce rates....
​
Where did they get this crap from? It doesn't make sense.... (My wife was getting pissed off at me ... I was yelling at the TV again)

I think this is the last thing for a while... slowly Homosexuality is getting more accepted... Views need to change a little more before we have a major change like an Amendment to allow it.
