Are you equally proud of those? I stand by all my messages. Did I violate a particular forum guideline with any of those messages? If so, by all means take whatever action you feel appropriate. But censuring me (that's censure, not censor) because my contributions have failed to consistently meet your approval is not something that I'm prepared to accept without comment.
Minnemooseus has pretty much had nothing to say. Oh? Is that a fact? (Would that it were true of your other persona as well.) The Moose has no unique insight into any of the topics of conversation? Haven't thought of any new metaphors to explain tricky scientific concepts? I understand that your moderation duties may leave you precious little time for "regular" participation. Or perhaps you simply find it more fun to shakedown the people you assume are out of line than to engage and be engaged in the debate.

And I mean all of you. Grow up. I'm pretty sure we're dead-on topic here. What's the problem, exactly?

1) See here. This action is the judgement of Admin, or could have been by any of the other admins.
2) Obviously, Admin has linked to the wrong message here. Needs to be fixed. Adminnemooseus

1) See here. This action is the judgement of Admin, or could have been by any of the other admins. well, wounded king challenged one of my assertions. i had asserted that the bible was not giving an account of witness testimony in the case of the book of esther, and that rather it was re-writing a babylonian myth involving ishtar. i mentioned that this bears some similarity to what the catholic church did with holidays, such as easter which, i said, probably also came from ishtar the fertility goddess. wounded king mentioned that he thought that came from somewhere else. since that bit wasn't strictly on topic, i admitted he might be right, and let it drop. but the point of it was to show that the bible has other sources that are not direct witness testimonies of its authors, and are massively distorted from their original form in order to convey a different judeo-christian message. and that therefor part, if not all, of the bible is invalid as witness testimony. which would be completely on topic.

Makes sense. I couldn't find the tie-in to the topic, but I can see it now. I'll put you an Wounded King back in.

the format was to demonstrate the parts that went unanswered versus the answers that were given, it was directed at Jerry in answer to his implication that all he had to do was "*chuckle*" to make refutations of his points go away.
and doesn't your post come very close to a personal attack on the poster and not the message? thanks for your input RAZD - "The king of the whacked message format"

This is actually to everybody: It is much easier to investigate comments or complaints when they include a link. When short of time, like now, I'll skip those with no link.

I half think it must be a joke that he was banned for his message to me, but in case it wasn't I would like to say that I found his post satirizing my posts to be hilarious and no more out of line than anything I have posted which he has been putting up with for some time now.

Hi Faith,
Thanks for the comment. I'm glad to hear you took his post in the way that I'm sure Percy intended. Discussing the posting tendencies in other posts is in general a bad way to proceed. Things often get sensitive here. It's also easy for others to believe he's speaking out of both sides of his mouth--coming down harsher on posting behavior recently, and then satirizing another poster in the middle of a discussion. In my mind, I want to make it clear that it's NOT OK to parody another poster. I've seen too many situations here where a similar thing just leads to bickering, and we need to make sure that kind of thing stops. As silly as it might sound to others, if Percy had asked you and got your permission before posting, I'd have no problem with it. But given the amount of personal attacks we've been seeing going on around here recently, I thought it's better to act without prompting. There doesn't need to be so much "interpretation" of the forum rules, and I thought it's best to "nip this one in the bud" before anybody else started getting "confused" about what is appropriate and what is not. That said, I'm going to leave Percy's suspension in place. He'll be back in 24 hours. I'm glad to know that you two have a good understanding of each other, and that you took the post in the way it was intended. I'm happy to take any other comments here. Percy is the alter ego of an admin, in fact THE Admin. He should be held to a higher standard than you are (perhaps higher than anyone).
What can pass from someone not used to civilized, intellectual debate can not pass from someone who has had years to practice.

Not that it's a grievous error but I just thought I'd point out that in your post here, you said...
Argue the people not the issues. I would imagine that this was supposed to read "Argue the issues not the people." Not trying to be a smart ass or anything. It's just that Administration has been stricter on such things lately, so I thought I'd better point that out so that there was no room for any misunderstandings. And since I never got around to it before, congrats on your recent promotion, Ben.
