holmes on market economics
There seems to be no end of issues on which holmes and I, despite broad agreement, can find nitpicking points on which to argue vehemently for page after page. But in message 130 of the thread Is the US sliding into fascism? I can't find one word I would disagree with. The message is - at this writing - the latest in an exchange he's having with tal; one or two of holmes' other posts are also excellent but this one stands out to me as the best. It's just basic free-enterprise economics, but it highlights a number of usually overlooked truths about the extent to which our economy depends on our underclass.
My hat is off to you, holmes!

Keep America Safe AND Free!
