Is Gay Marriage Immoral?

I read a book once which purported to be a Christian "sex manual". (Yes, it was as boring as it sounds. )It claimed that anal sex between heterosexual, married-in-church couples is "wrong" because "gays do it". On the other hand, it claimed that oral sex between heterosexual, married-in-church couples is "okay" because it's an "intimate expression of love".I never understood the dichotomy. I wonder if you have any insight on that?

I wonder where sex changes fall into the whole anti-gay thing. Is it immoral to have a sex change? Is it immoral to marry somebody of the same gender you used to be?(Is it a hardware issue or a software issue? )

So, if God made me with a heart defect, it would be a sin to repair that surgically, too. Glasses (I always picture Faith wearing glasses), orthopedic shoes, wheelchairs....Sin gets to be pretty complicated, don't it?

That's exactly why it makes sense to coeducationalize the bathrooms - urinals for the men, toilets for the women (and for the men only when needed). The status quo provides inadequate facilities for the women and often-unused facilities for the men. That's a misconception. In fact, women are much messier in the bathroom than men.Which points us back toward the topic: It isn't a real physical difference between whites and blacks that causes bigotry - it's a perceived difference. Bigots perceive blacks as "dirty" and "disgusting" and don't want to share a bathroom with them.Similarly, bigots perceive gay sex as "disgusting", even though it has absolutely no effect on them.

No I'm not. I only responded to an existing discussion about "bathroom bigotry".And my point still stands. It is bigotry to deny blacks the use of "our" bathrooms because we perceive them to be "dirty" or "disgusting". It is also bigotry to deny gays the use of anything that is "ours" (e.g. marriage) because we perceive them to be "dirty" or "disgusting".

Forget about that.-------------This is the point I was trying to make:It is bigotry to exclude black people from "white" bathrooms on the grounds that black people are "dirty" or "disgusting".Got that?Similarly, it is bigotry to exclude gay people from any rights or privileges that straight people enjoy on the grounds that gay people are "dirty" or "disgusting". Marriage is a right and/or priviledge enjoyed by straight people. Denying that right/privilege to gay people on the grounds that they are "dirty" or "disgusting" is bigotry.Is that clear? I can try to make it even clearer if you still don't get it.
