Roger Waters "Dark Side of the Moon Tour", May 18th, 07.
at: South Florida Sound Advice Amphitheatre. I don't have the full setlist, but the first set was a great mix of all Floyd, including Sheep, Another Brick in the Wall, and Interstellar Encore!! The second set was the ENTIRE Dark Side of the Moon - from start to finish, plus a whole lot of other cool Floyd classics after that. All in all one of my top 5 shows of all time. I would've given alot for those tickets. Btw, theres rumors about a tour but Plant said he doesn't want to. There was talks of Chris Cornell, but I don't know... It's not just the emotionality, it's the musicality (I remember music more than lyrics, and good music is more likely than good lyrics to send a chill down my back). My first Floyd concert, March 30th 94. Joe Robbie Stadium(were the Dolphins play). I was 18, outside arena, first time I ever tried LSD, it starts raining as the intro to "Shine on you Crazy Diamond" starts playing. You wanna talk about tears?! I still get chills as I type it. Moments like that are once in a life time.

it was that big concert in 1969 that had all those crappy bands my parents listened to WHATTTTT?!?!?!?! Crappy bands?! Santana, Janis Joplin, CCR, the Greatful Dead, Sly and the Family Stone, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Jimmy "fuckin" Hendrix!!! Are you seriously refering to these bands/artists/icons as crappy? Jimmy Hendrix is crappy?!?!?! Edited by onifre, : added video of jimmy "All great truths begin as blasphemies" "I smoke pot. Evidently it's an age thing with AE
I don't know. I'm 33 years old, I was born in 1975 well after Woodstock, that music should cross age barriers.

His 'crappy' comment could not go unreplied to.

and the 5 T's on what.... and then the link to the youtube video.... Like, someone is going to be sitting on the fence on whether or not they think Jimmy is crappy until they watch your link
Perhaps I was a bit excited but I wasn't going with trying to sway on the fencers. I offered a sampling of one of the greatest moments of Woodstock, perhaps he had not seen this display of badassness on a guitar before and needed to be exposed to it. Perhaps he was just talking out of his ass about it being a crappy concert.
I'm sorry man, but that's just really funny to me. Its Trolling 101. Any time someone brings up some kind of music or a band or something, if you say how bad they suck, one of their fans is gonna freak out. and its hilarious. He said Woodstock had crappy music, thats a load of shit sir. Now, I'm not a fan of each individual band but to make a generalized comment about the entire concert shows one is a douche when it comes to music...by whos standards...? Mine. Plus, this is a music thread, there has to be some band bashing and some band loyalty, stop being so bitchy.
Dude, the quality of music is one of the most subjective opinions we can have. Someone who only likes Country music could very well have the opinion that Jimmy Hendrix is crappy. Their opinion doesn't mean anything.
I don't think peoples opinions on anything mean much, I like my opinion cause I usually agree with it. Edited by onifre, : No reason given. "All great truths begin as blasphemies" "I smoke pot. Hi cave, just wanted to update you since I just read it today about Zeppelin.
Without Plant the band will not work under the Zeppelin name, so no actual "Led Zeppelin" tour. But the other fellas may still create a spin off of the original band with new vocals. http://www.led-zeppelin.org/news/index.php?m=2009news#010...

I don't know if any EvC members listen to spanish music, but for those who do...
I don't usually go to spanish concerts but my mom loves Alejandro Sanz, and I recently took her to his concert. First let me say this, and I know I was with my mom, but Christ, there are some amazing looking women there! I need to start going to these concerts more often. All dudes should go, even if you don't understand spanish. But honestly, the man was brilliant. I wasn't too familiar with his music but he plays some of the best spanish guitar I've heard. The concert was great, my mom loved it and I got the phone # of the girl sitting next to me - (my mom told me to hit on her, btw). Alejandro Sanz Enjoy, - Oni

Brotha Bailey, I'm doing well my friend. Hope you are too.
Let me set the scene to help you understand what I'm about to write. I just got back to my hotel room from a gig and I drank...a lot. AND, I'm in the room now, so I'm blazing (smoking) so I hope what I type is comprehendable (that word was hard to spell in my condition).
What a good son you are - glad to hear that mom enjoyed the show, I try to be, that's one of the things that keeps me grounded in reality, my parents...and my kids.
Oh, and be careful with that phone number, because as you probably know - those jalapeno's can be very hot and feisty Sir Bailey, I've been married, divorced and engaged to only "jalapenos," so I know the level of their "spicyness." And while I appreciate the warning, I feel it's falling on deaf ears, cuz this kid loves his latinas!
haha, Alejandro - very good pick. I've never had the opportunity to see him live, but I can imagine the show was awesome. While I'm not into strictly spanish tunes, a lotta love for the style has washed over me throughout the eighteen years or so that I've been into the (primarily acoustic) guitar scene. Spanish rhythm has a very unique, high energy that has captivated me from day one. Yea, Alejandro was very cool. The show was amazing because, as you may or may not know, spanish concerts bring a lot of variety. So there was never a dull moment. La vieja loved it.

honestly, seeing as you've an equal appreciation of the women from that island, from what I understand, there's probably a good chance that you're not gonna be convinced a lil' spanish guitar fetish had much - if anything, to do with that lol - It's all about the culo!
Have you ever heard of Rodrigo y Gabriela?? Never and thank you very much for turning me on to them. That Stairway is probably the coolest thing I've heard while high...seriously, thanks I just listened to them play "Orion" from Metallica and "One," fuck'n AMAZING! Plus I listened to their version of "Wish you were here" FUCK! These guys rock!
Gabriela plays a rhythm guitar unlike any other woman that I've ever seen. Absolutely amazing.
Off the beaten path of spanish influence is another one of my favorites, Andy McKee. He's all over the international scene, rather than pissin' away his talent and time soley in the States and his jam sessions are awesome live. This dudes incredible as far as I'm concerned, but I'm not even gonna get into it, as you may not find him that impressive unless you're familiar with, or have an inclination towards, heterodox acoustic music styles. However, I will say that he's very original, as well as a bit animated and just leave it at that for now.
Dude, this Andy guy is ridiculous! I love it. Thanks for turning me on to this as well. I like your style bro! Rylynn was my favorite of the two but I think it's cuz it has more of a spanish flavor to it than, Drift. But Drift was great as well.
well, I know you enjoy bud, but I hope you enjoy these tunes too. Maybe with some bud Yes I did, to both of those Hope all is well with you Bailey, keep writing great posts as you do, I enjoy reading yo shit. Peace out, brothaaaaa - Oni

Nine Inch Nails live is a sight to see. Seen them once live, back in 92 or 93...? I forget. There's a really cool indie rock pub in Miami called Churchill's Pub. Everyone from Reznor to Manson to Pearl Jam, has come though this bar when they were coming up. It's like the CBGB of Miami. Saw NIN there. They weren't as elaborate with their concerts back then, but they still rocked.
Here's Hurt, which has some great footage, the ending is cool too: Err, I think that's "Right where it Belongs"...? I love at minute 3:31 when they show Bush on the screen and the whole place gives him the finger - Awesome! Anyway, lets listen to some Hurt too: - Oni Edited by onifre, : No reason given.

You gotta check it out for the cool videos they project. And watch the end too! OH, ok. Yea, that's a sweet video. Reznor is a true artist.
I can play Hurt on the piano (my singing sucks though) Niceeee! I can't play shit, and my singing is death to any karaoke situation. I half-ass hit the drums for a little while back in highschool, but I was terrible. How long have you been playing the piano? - Oni
