So he plants evidence for things that his book contradicts, and then he slams everyone who goes with the most trustworthy knowledge they have - firsthand observation. I don't buy it. Why do so many consider belief in a young earth to be a requirement of true faith when our senses and reasoning capability, applied in the most sensible manner, tell us that it is old?

The God described in these posts is either not omniscient or not omnipotent. Let's start with the first part: he knew where I (for example) was going before he created me. That means that he knows, right now, whether I am going to heaven or hell. That's part of omniscience. Let us assume, for the sake of discussion, that I am destined for hell because I don't believe in him, and my faith of past years is probably not going to get me anywhere, especially after what I'm posting tonight.Now, since God is omnipotent, and he doesn't want me to go to hell, I won't go to hell. But wait - God already knew where I was going when I was created. It has already been determined by him, and he knows it, and being infallible, he can't be wrong. So, it's outside of his power to change my destiny!To quote Douglas Adams: "Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.

Since then, probably unlike you, I have actually known a few men who prefer to have sex with men, and they have been just like everyone else: just trying to get by in the world, go to work, pay their bills, and have a roof over their head and food on the table and a few friends who accept them for what they are. Honestly, you need to think about the words you say and what they really mean. If you did, you'd probably realize you have no basis for saying them beyond the fact that you heard them and it makes you feel purposeful when you repeat them.
