Since 1 Timothy 3 only has 16 verses I'd like to seem him quote verse 17.
I think he means 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Which is often interpreted by Fundamentalists as meaning that the Bible was literally authored by God and is infallibly true. Of course it doesn't come out and actually SAY that but what the Bible says usually takes second place to what fundamentalists would like it to mean
