I have often asked many creationists or even christian/evolutionists to prove the existence of god. the most common reply I've heard is:
"Prove there isn't!
These types of things are ridiculous and are only a poor defense of a belief in something that has no evidence to support it. The burden of proof rests on he who asserts the statement.
Ah... but you say, "Well, you can't prove evolution either, so there!"
There are some fundamental differences between the derivation of the theory of Evolution and the
theory of Creationism. Evolution uses
FACTS to infer from. Creationism has this massive gaping whole that requires faith and not evidence to fill. A scientist sees the fossil layer, he says that less complex life forms preceded more complex ones. A creationist says, I believe in god (
first), hey! there's the fossil layer, God must have made it to trick us. See how it works? Creationists believed in god before they saw the evidence, they merely twisted it to fit their irrational beliefs.
