Buzz some of us atheists are already scheduling a Not the end of the world party on may 21.
Update Your Browser | Facebook So whats your timescale buzz so we can schedule a noter one, or do you agree with the may 21 date. Claims of the end of the world is coming soon are older then Christianity, hell even your Christ said that some of his disciples will live to see the end of the world, guess what all predictions where wrong, why because they are just ravings of delusional religious fanatics who want to make sense of the world trough religious dogma. So why have there only been 8.9 quakes at the plate boundaries for 4.6 billion years?

Well that's not exactly true, 4 of largest quakes in North America occurred in the New Madrid seismic zone, an intraplate quake producing zone. Though none were an 8.9, some were as large as an 8. This is still no proof of anything though, and is off topic.

GDR writes: Fankly I thought that you opened this just as a means to put down Christians. It seems however that wasn't the case. It's my faith, which I contend is scriptural, that God is pained by what happened in Japan and suffers as does all who are affected. The only part I see God having in it, is in His working through his created people. He has given us the wisdom and the will to be able to better anticipate natural disasters so that we are better prepared, and he has given us hearts to bring aid to those that suffer. And so there is no misuderstanding, I'm not saying that He only works through Christians. I have no desire to put any religion down, much wisdom lies in the teachings of JC , Buddha , and many religious sources. I have always felt that a closed mind breeds intolerance, racism, hate, and fear. CNN I think is going to have a special " Unwelcome, the Muslim's next door", it may contain some further insight into intolerance which, you never promote. I have been told by a friend more than once that I don't have to belive in God, but he believes in me. There have been hundreds of end of the world prophecies. You know what they all have in common? None of them have come true. What reason would any thinking person have for putting any stock in yours?

I was trying to point out that earthquakes in the region of Japan are not something that has anything to do with Revelation, but that it is a normal sequence of the area.

You are exactly rite, and I meant that my remark was off topic, not yours.
Some people will always see the hand of God in disasters and miracles. I just find it interesting how different 2 christians interpret the same book. One puts it in a positive light and the other sees god the destroyer punishing non believers. If so, perhaps it may trigger something related to end time planet change. I don't know what the climatologists have to say about that. I haven't delved into it. I'd say you can go ahead with your plans. It's not time for Armageddon yet, though things can and are emerging ever more rapidly. Edited by Buzsaw, : No reason given.

It's all in there. Most have been cited in other threads. Too many topics for one thread.

I'm sorry Buz but the God you try to market is no threat, more just something to laugh at, but folk that believe in such nonsense scare the hell outta me. Now did you say "Providentially, what our nation has done, militarily and otherwise is often beneficial to the preservation of Israel, the messianic coming kingdom of God."? As I thought, nothing for any thinking person. Just the same old nonsense.

It is really pretty funny when you look at some of the so called prophecies (more rightly called jokes).
For example consider "...rise of Islamic nations allied with Russia" Say what? Saudi Arabia? Kuwait? Egypt? Bahrain? The Philippines? Indonesia? Pakistan? Turkey? Morocco? Bangladesh? Nigeria? Malaysia? Syria? Yemen? Lebanon? Jordan? UAE? Qatar? Maldives? ... shall I go on? I wonder if they know they are allied with Russia? Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!
