The answer to the above statement is simply because life needs it. Things don't happen just because they're useful.
If we go by the Creation model, all life was just plopped down as it was with no mechanism to adhere to the change, no way to counteract its effects. Yes well, a creationist could argue ... wait ... I'll get my creationist hat ...
Puts on creationist hat, looks like a dick. ... where was I, oh yes, creationism. A creationist would point out how many species, and indeed genera and families and so on, have in fact gone extinct (and done so, even according to non-loons, without surviving descendants) since God magicked the world into existence six thousand years ago, and that God doesn't give a cuss about this 'cos he's going to destroy the world anyway when Armageddon comes.

The actual facts, if you ignore evolutionary dogma, about the fossil record being a record of life evolving rather than being a grave, shows that the Cambrian contains snails. [...] If you say that none-evolution also favours evolution and does not falsify it, then logically you can not falsify evolution. Please stop using the word "logically", as logic is not a quality your statements exhibit. Evolution is of course falsifiable, but it is not falsifiable by observing (relative) stasis in some groups any more than you can falsify the proposition that people move house, move from city to city, and even move from country to country by finding that one person or even several people have lived their whole lives in the same house. The essence of argumentation and debate is starting from evidence and using reasoning to come to a conclusion. You guys claim you have all the evidence but you never bother to connect the dots from evidence to conclusion. If you do, the conclusion is not the same from one year to the next. It is a moving goal post. This does not even touch on the fact that the reasoning that you do use is circular more often than not, and when it isn't circular, it is so full of holes it can not hold water. You are telling falsehoods to us, about us. Your chances of deceiving us are slim.

I did not specify talking "through speech with sound waves", just talking. And unless someone's out there looking for evidence that snakes used to be able to talk telepathically, then I hardly see the relevance of your question.

Even you must be able to detect some degree of falsehood in there, since you move directly from asserting that we never do something to making assertions about how we do so when we do.
Every claim I made was a result of my personal experience with atheists and theistic evolutionists over the past 3 years. But perhaps you overestimate your capacity to detect circular reasoning and arguments with holes in: this would explain why you make false statements on this subject and why you are a creationist. Genetic mutations are mostly harmful. The beneficial ones are relatively minor changes with no evidence they can produce new species. Its easy to explain how the beak of a finch changed when it experienced a new environment, but that does not remotely illustrate a process capable of making finches in the first place. Can you give me an example of how small changes can turn a shrew into a human? By consequence of there being lots of them, adding up to a big change. This is trivially true. If you make enough small changes to the genome of a shrew-like animal, you'll get the genome of a human. If you make enough small changes to the genome of a dinosaur, you'll get the genome of a finch. If you make enough small changes to the text of Moby Dick, you'll get the text of A Tale Of Two Cities. Fair enough on the science forum comment....understood. As a suggestion to you, perhaps you could show some respect for others beliefs and stop with the "myths" comments. As to the rest of your post I have no clue what you're talking about. Calling God a critter and expecting to actually examine Him...and I'm committing hubris...? Well, some people might like to claim that a talking snake outwitted God. Some people might want to claim that a purple anteater played the trombone. I do not wish to give offense. I really don't. But as a nonbeliever, I find these two claims equally plausible. If you would like to convert me, then that's where you have to start. I start off by thinking that those two propositions are on a level. What you want to do is convince me that one of them is true but the other one is ridiculous. You're not going to get anywhere if you get into a snit and just tell people that they're not showing enough respect. The world is full of propositions that I don't respect. I don't respect the idea that the Earth is flat. I don't respect the idea that GWB planned 9/11. I don't respect the idea that the pyramids were built by aliens.
As a non-believer, I think that literal belief in the book of Genesis is about on a par with those ideas. This isn't because I've been sitting around trying to think out how to insult or disrespect you, it's just what I happen to think. Perhaps I'm wrong. Oops. So if you want to go and convert people then it's no use starting off by saying "Oh, you should be more polite, you shouldn't laugh at me." Because your ideas are, on the face of it, laughable. When the creationist Gregor Mendel discovered natural selection ... That is a lie so huge that I am somewhat surprised that the enormity of the lie was not so massive as to create a black hole and compact us all into a point beyond the event horizon.
This is why evolutionary biologists proclaim minor variation within species such as the peppered moths, as evidence for the grand macro evolutionary changes that happened in the past. Why is it that the best evidence for a mechanism capable of creating complex organisms, body plans, and changing a species into another, is Darwins finches and the peppered moths? This is, of course, a huge enormous lie. That is not the evidence put forward for large-scale evolution, and anyone who pretends that it is is either droolingly ignorant or a deliberate liar. I shall not speculate as to which category you belong to, but it's certainly one or the other.

I think you boys are trying to tell me that the complexity of life happened through random chance. That would be just one among the many things you are wrong about. No-one has tried to tell you that. Here's a way to find out if someone tells you that: someone will actually tell you that. By the way, what is it about you guys and the phrase: "random chance"? Really, is there some sort of chance that isn't random? Would there be such a thing as "non-random chance"? Why do you even say stuff like this?

Well, that explains why you can't come up with a cogent argument against it. There are books on the subject, you know. You don't have to spend the whole of the rest of your life wallowing in the filth of your own ignorance.

Again I apologize. I did not realize one could have minute changes in say the heart, lungs or liver without being detrimental. You didn't? How odd. But if you have never taken the slightest interest in biology, why the heck are you participating on this forum talking about evolution? Evolution explains biology, that's what it's there for. I am still at a loss, the word selection assumes thought. No it doesn't. For example, you will have noticed that scientists sometimes use the term "natural selection". But if you find out what they're talking about, they will explicitly say that this is an unintelligent process.
