A single mutation won't produce the gland that produces snake venom ... in fact, a single mutation would produce only a tiny fraction of the gland, which would be useless since it wouldn't produce any venom at all. Yes...the "magic" of BILLIONS of generations with tiny flaws in reproducing an exact copy of their DNA. Most flaws are probably neutral, many are disadvantageous, and a few are advantageous. So how would this useless tiny fraction of said gland confer a survival advantage to the snake?

Why would the snake need these stronger fangs when it was surviving with the fangs it already had?
could provide additional structural strength, making it easier to puncture the increasingly tougher skins of their prey.

Wait ... let me get this straight ... your explanation for how a snake's venom glands came to be connected to their hollow fangs is that some lucky snake just happened to be born that way?
BY GEORGE, I THINK HE'S GOT IT!!!!
So that lucky snake's parents lacked any connection between gland and fangs and then ... poof! ... said lucky snake was born with it all magically connected up? If so ... wow ... that gives the story of the Tooth Fairy a whole new dimension.

That's right ... I can't correct any editing mistakes bcoz, unlike every other poster here, I don"t have any editing privileges. A gross miscarriage of justice, to be sure. Not in the least. Your outrageous and egregious misconduct actually called for much stronger disciplinary actions. You got off much lighter than you deserved.

So that lucky snake's parents lacked any connection between gland and fangs and then ... poof! ... said lucky snake was born with it all magically connected up? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! No! You fucking idiot! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! {BTW, I am quite literally laughing out loud at your complete and utter idiocy!} HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Is that really how you think that evolution works? You stupid creationists are unbelievable! Every single creationist "objection to evolution" has nothing whatsoever to do with evolution! All your "objections to evolution" are based on nothing but your extremely stupid misunderstanding and misrepresentations of evolution which have nothing to do with evolution. And you cannot understand us when we try to explain your misunderstanding to you, because your ignorance of evolution is so complete -- it literally numbs your brain. That is why you and I call your misunderstanding and misrepresentations "evilution" and that is also what makes you and all creationist evil (as you yourself pointed out in an extremely rare moment of clarity of thought -- too bad you cannot repeat that state of mind). Now I really want to see how you explain the evolution of the vertebrate eye. I can already see you regurgitating the typical "creationist model of the evolution of the vertebrate eye", but I need to hear it from you before I respond. We all already know what a fucking stupid idiot you are, so what do you have to lose?

Yep, the sure sign of a brain numbed asleep by creationist "evilution" idiocy.
Point proven. To quote Emperor Joseph II:

I never said the billions of years wasn't a fact. I'm not a YEC; I'm an OEC. i know you're an OEC. but i was saying that none of us humans can comprehend or grok what BILLIONS actually means. we use math, but we have no feel for these gigous numbers. this means that when you wonder how a tooth could ever get hollow, you are showing that you are not really understanding BILLIONS of years. for all we know, perhaps there was stretch of time when they couldn't get enough calcium and then the offspring that had grooved or hollow teeth had a better chance to live long enough to reproduce enough times. Edited by xongsmith, : add conjecture about a possible Great Calcium Shortage. "I'm the Grim Reaper now, Mitch. Step aside." Death to #TzarVladimirtheCondemned! So that lucky snake's parents lacked any connection between gland and fangs and then ... poof! ... said lucky snake was born with it all magically connected up? yes, if your "poof" took BILLIONS of years. the parents had already lots of connections and their parents had lots, but not quite as many and so on, stretched out over BILLIONS of years. and it would be impossible to find and declare the first such snake. couldn't put your finger on it. many snakes were getting very close, then some perhaps made it across a very imprecise definition of hollow venomous teeth. other scientists would differ over which ones were first, based on each of their own definitions."I'm the Grim Reaper now, Mitch. So how would this useless tiny fraction of said gland confer a survival advantage to the snake? right. but it was thousands, if not BILLIONS of little mutations along the way. maybe many were useless for their time, but didn't get in the way of survival and then, after generations and generations, accidentally began to form parts of what became the venomous hollow tooth."I'm the Grim Reaper now, Mitch. Your fairy tales are getting funnier and funnier ... the snake had to evolve tougher fangs coz its prey was evolving tougher skin? I love it!
Why then didn't the snake simply choose prey with softer skin? Incidentally, I never asked about how a snake evolved stronger fangs ... my query was about the evolution of hollow fangs.
