I'm surprised Brian. It seems that you have joined the ranks of the anti-pornography activists who would censure pornography in every form because they just can't accept the "if you don't like it, don't look". I like the flood threads for all the reasons you dislike it. What thread in this forum is not repetitive, redundant, redolent, redactive, and ridiculous, if not initially, at least by the 30th post? The only refreshing, new, and exciting posts I've read lately (aside from my own, of course) is when Randman accuses Jar of purposely misrepresenting his position. At least the flood threads make no pretense to be anything other than a way to pass the time before we die.
Actually, there are new things to be discovered about the flood. I have recently been able to resolve the mystery of what Gopherwood is. (Remember from Genesis that god ordered Noah to make the entire ark out of Gopherwood, and there has been a great deal of controversy about what that is.) When Noah told his sons to gather up 20,000 tons of Gopherwood, his youngest son Ham asked him "Hey Pops." (Or it might have been Pips or Pups or Poops - the written Hebrew of that time left off the vowels.) "What the heck is Gopherwood?" Noah told him: "That's wood you gopher for when I tell you to!" Now, aren't you glad you read this response?
And no, I have no idea what redactive means either.
